Target
Target is a great place to shop, if you take advantage of their deals.Otherwise its another money trap, especially if you have a wife/gf!
There are several ways to save money and not pay full price for almost anything...
- 5% off with Redcard
- Cartwheel
- Gift Card Offers
- Use the Target app for Coupons
- Sales/Clearance
- Manufacture Coupons
You can combine all these for incredible savings.
Costco
$60 or $120 a year can seem like a lot, but it is totally worth it for many reasons!- Usually cheapest gas around by 10-15+ cents a gallon
- Bulk produce and groceries
- Monthly instant rebates on top of already low prices
- With Executive ($120 membership) you get 2% cash back on most purchases
- Lots of free food samples on the weekend!
One important thing to remember about Costco, is to be smart about buying bulk produce or food that can go bad if you don't eat it fast. Sure, it may be cheaper than Frys or Target, but if you end up wasting half of it because you didn't eat it fast enough, then its more expensive!
Here is a quick list of groceries I like to shop there that for the most part are cheaper than anywhere else.

- Cheese!
- Medicine and vitamins
- Silk Almond milk
- Milk
- Granola bars
- Nuts and snacks
Frys/Kroger
Frys is a great place to shop for groceries.
Other items however are usually overpriced, you have been warned!
Their normal prices aren't always great, but they have great sales all the time.
You can use manufacturing coupons and also their electronic coupons that connect to your Frys account.
However they can't be combined!
I found that out the hard way...
Take advantage of their great Frys app.
Here you can view their weekly add.
There will be a basic list you can scroll through or sort it.
Click the + button then press "Add to List"
It will automatically go into your top list.
Now you can use this to go shopping for sale items the next time you go!
And remember to check their Coupons section! Just click the + and it's automatically added to your account.
You can filter by Category as well.
Gift cards and Gas Points
Frys has the most common gift cards and they always provide 2x the gas points. About once every other month or so they have a special promotion for 4x the gas points. I have definitely taken advantage of this and will continue to do so.
Just think...
Buy a $25 Jack in the Box gift card for when you forget to bring food to work, $25 Panda Express card to eat with the wife at home and watch a movie, and a $50 card to Kohls for shopping.
$100 in gift cards would equal 400 gas points.
That is 40 cents off a gallon at Circle K! (an average of $5 savings on a tank of gas)
Just remember that 100 points is 10 cents, and the max you can use is 1000 at a time, for $1 off a gallon.
